Om Ganeshaaya Namaha!
Shree Ganesha (Pillayaar) is the first GOD to be worshiped before beginning any new project or venture as he is the destroyer of all obstacles.
Let me pray him and start writing about stories that I like to hear/tell. I was contemplating about writing mythology related stories, it is lot of fun to read them and also it helps me to understand and analyse various aspects of my life in a way which otherwise I would not have thought of.
In Indian mythology, Ramayana & Mahabharata hold a very special place. Ramayana and Mahabharata comes in different flavors due to various authors who have tried to understand and write about the same. I thought even I should try my hand on it.
Going forward, I would like to write about Mahabharata in my own way.
Thanks to Veda Vyasa. He is the master story teller and it is his blessings that we have Mahabharata today.
Let me tell you, I am not going to write about the sanskrit verses and translate and explain them. I will just write about the stories in my own way. I have made references and I will keep updating my references to write about the same. I don’t like to copy stuff from others, I think I have inspirations all drawn from Veda Vyasa and others please don’t get to me with the infringements 🙂
As I said in beginning, let me offer my salutations to Lord Ganesha and then begin my journey to write stories about the Epic Mahabharata. 🙂
